Since James is unable to play instruments like he used to, he works with existing recordings and demo sessions, doing the computer production work when he was able. There was a period of time in early 2024 that he was even able to sing quietly.

Every song represents many hours of extreme difficulty for him. Even though he tries to space efforts out carefully, he often crashes with extreme pain from brain inflammation for hours after a session on his computer.

Art

For a period of time James was able to draw on an iPad. He explored a variety of styles and themes and found art, which he had done since childhood, to be a great distraction from his suffering.
